In April this year, our amazing ReCranked bike recycling program celebrated 8 years of operation.
In that time, our team of dedicated volunteers has refurbished and distributed over 2,300 bikes to new riders, locally, nationally and in many locations overseas. Bikes are donated where they are needed most and make a huge difference to the lives of those that receive them. They provide vital transport to school and work, can facilitate access to social and sporting activities and also deliver many healthy exercise benefits.
ReCranked Is also involved in many educational activities, providing information and guidance on bike maintenance, bike safety in schools and teaching a range of skills to students in primary schools through the ReCranked in Schools program.
ReCranked is gearing up to move to a new home where it will continue to connect volunteers, young people and support the community.
