Volunteers have been the backbone of the Y throughout its history. Volunteering at the Y offers a valuable opportunity to connect and make a difference in your community. Our current volunteer opportunities are available only within our Early Years and Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) programs. By volunteering, you can develop your skills while making a meaningful contribution to children’s learning and wellbeing. It’s a chance for personal and professional growth through assisting with the delivery of programs and services in these areas.
If you are a secondary student interested in obtaining work experience in one of the Y’s Early Years or OSHC services, we offer a limited number of placements. Please send us your details, including a letter from your school requesting the placement.
We offer a limited number of fieldwork placements, research project opportunities, and work experience for tertiary students studying in fields related to Early Childhood Education or OSHC. Please note that we are not currently offering Youth program placements.
