Are you 15 to 25 & live, work or study in the Ballarat area?

Y Ballarat believe in the power of inspired young people. We want young people to tell us what they want and how we can support you to achieve this! As a member of our volunteer Youth Advisory Group you will be given a platform to share your voice as a young person living, working or studying in Ballarat, to advocate for things that matter to YOU!

You will be the youth face of Y Ballarat, run and attend events, advise and consult with the Y Ballarat to effectively engage young people, make real and lasting change for local young people, and most importantly have fun!!!

So what does it involve? 

  • Meet as a group 1-2 times a month
  • Choose and work on projects that interest you
  • Talk with local young people, organisations and businesses to find out what matters to them
  • Being respectful and non-judgmental
  • Promote events, programs or key dates
  • Provide feedback to Y Ballarat board members
  • Help make our youth programs and social media what young people want
  • Help make Y Ballarat inclusive, accessible and diverse across all spaces
  • Learn new, fun and important skills and qualities to set you up for your future!
