Jump Start

Jump Start is a hands-on automotive program supporting young people to gain skills, experience and explore automotive as a possible future career path.

Jump Start runs for 6 weeks with two weekly sessions. Participants complete an induction, tool intro and occupational health and safety  before getting into the fun which includes changing oil, tyres, wipers and brake pads, disassembling and reassembling engines and transmissions or even bringing a small machine back to life!

Jump Start is aimed at young people aged 15-19 not engaged in education, but depending on interest, we may run programs for different age groups. To get involved you don’t have to have any automotive experience.

Jump Start runs several times each year. Register your interest, add your details below!
You will be added to the waitlist and contacted for the next program.

Jump Start lives in the Auto Workshop, Barkly Square 25-39 Barkly Street, Ballarat.
