Jump Start is a hands-on automotive program supporting young people to gain skills, experience and explore automotive as a potential career!
Jump Start runs each school term via two weekly sessions. Participants complete induction before getting into the fun…changing oil, tyres, wipers and brake pads, disassembling and reassembling engines and transmissions or bringing a small machine back to life.
Jump Start is for young people interested in automotive, aged 15-24 and disengaged from education. We may be able to be a little flexible on age, but priority goes to those interested in auto or trade areas. No previous auto experience is required but we expect participants make effort to attend all sessions.
Jump Start received funding from the Australian Government, Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources which ensures our team can offer support to participants to explore pathways of interest including work experience, education, further training or employment.
