Jump Start is a hands-on automotive program supporting young people to gain skills, experience and explore automotive as a potential career!
Jump Start runs each school term via two weekly sessions. Participants complete induction before getting into the fun…changing oil, tyres, wipers and brake pads, disassembling and reassembling engines and transmissions or bringing a small machine back to life!
Jump Start happens each term for young people interested in automotive, aged 14-24 and not engaged in education. We can be a little flexible and depending on interest, may run programs for different age groups. No previous auto experience required!
Jump Start is funded by the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources, ensuring our Youth Worker can offer support to participants to explore pathways of interest including work experience, education, further training or employment!
