Y Ballarat’s
Youth Art Exhibition

Y Ballarat’s Youth Art Exhibition

The Y Ballarat Youth Art Exhibition officially opened on Friday April 19 and was open for public viewing for two weeks.

This year, we had 56 art works from 26 artists, with a wonderful diversity in size, medium, colour and theme.

105 people attended our opening night. Shout out to Amayiah Edwards for being our MC and Mercy + 2 for entertaining us on the night.

Two Awards were presented on the night:
* Ys Choice – judged by Craig Mathieson – awarded to Growth by Gabriella Cook
* Artists Choice – judged by local artist Sarah Hart – awarded to Rainbow Lion by Rhys Barrett

People’s Choice was voted for by the public throughout the Exhibition. Two winners were declared as these were separated by only one vote, and their votes far exceeded any others. The winners were:
* Ava Jones for Summer
* Samara Zakkam for Marn grook and basket

It was wonderful to welcome both returning and new artists to this years Exhibition.  Follow Y Ballarat Youth on Facebook or Instagram to stay up to date on next year’s Youth Art Exhibition.
