The Y Ballarat has been consistent in our messaging that our children’s services staff deserve payment conditions that match the level of work and impact made on the lives of others.
That’s why we’ve made a commitment to commence paying the ECEC wage increase for eligible staff from 2 December 2024. We believe by embracing the Government increase, that this is another positive step on this journey.
“With 5 Early Learning Centres and 9 OSHC venues, this will impact over 80 of our staff. We’re really pleased to be able to share this news with our teams, with the 10% coming into effect on the 2 December,” said Y Ballarat CEO, Craig Mathieson.
“We know how crucial quality education is in children’s early years, setting the stage for lifelong learning and shaping positive outcomes,” he added. “Our staff play a vital role in creating brighter futures for children, families and communities and this is an important way of recognising their contribution.”
