the Y
Drysdale Street Kindergarten in Wonthaggi was delighted to welcome the Minister for Early Childhood and Pre-Prep, Ingrid Stitt and the Member for Bass, Jordon Crugnale recently for the official opening of the new room at the service.
The additional space creates 33 extra places, with the upgrade enhancing the learning environment, enabling our high quality early education programs to be delivered to more families.
The works, which were undertaken through a partnership between the Victorian Schools Building Authority, Y Kinders and Bass Coast Shire Council, also include a new upgraded outdoor learning space, new parking area and improved facilities for the teaching team.
Providing extra capacity for 3 and 4 year old kindergarten, the extension was built off-site using modular construction meaning increased efficiency in building and less disruption to outdoor spaces.
At Y Kinders, we are proud of our work with communities, local LGAs and government to initiate, innovate, and ensure the best possible learning experiences for children.
