Nominations are open for the 2021 Victorian Father of the Year
DNA alone doesn’t make a dad and father figures come in all shapes and sizes. This year, the Y wants to recognise the amazing work that traditional and non-traditional fathers do to support young people.
Nominations are now open for the 2021 Victorian Father of the Year and can be made through the online form at vicfather.ymca.org.au until Sunday 8 August 2021.
Since 1956, the Victorian Father of the Year award has recognised Victorian dads and father figures who make positive contributions to their communities and who have a profound and constructive effect on young people.
The winner of this year’s Victorian Father of the Year will be presented by the Lord Mayor Sally Capp at a special ceremony held on Friday 3 September at the Melbourne Town Hall.
Please note: nominations must be submitted by people over 18 years of age.
Children and young people under 18 years can ask a relative or trusted adult to submit a nomination on their behalf.
