WHO WE ARE

Our Board

Stacey Oliver

Vice President

Joined the Y: 2021
Occupation: Community Impact Manager – Ballarat Foundation

Stacey’s history with the Y Ballarat is special. She began her career working with communities when she joined the Y as a young person and she credits this time, and the 15 years that followed, with helping to develop her sense of self, her confidence and a strong belief in her ability to make a difference. Recently, Stacey reunited with the Y family as a member of the board, putting her in a position to offer a unique and special perspective. Stacey loves the beach. Especially, stand-up paddleboarding and surfing, but basically anything with sea, sun and sand. “It is my happy place!” To Stacey, it’s important that young people are given the chance to be the experts of their own lives and she’s proud to offer them that opportunity through partnerships created for, and with, young people. She looks forward to continuing to be a positive voice for change in the journeys of young people and assisting them to develop belief and confidence in themselves through leadership and empowerment.

Safeguarding Commitment Statement

Y Ballarat Board of Directors

As the Board of Directors, we acknowledge our responsibility to ensure the governance practices, leadership and values towards Safeguarding are delivered and on display at all times. We are fully committed to the Safeguarding of Children and Young People, with our focus being on providing safe, enjoyable and inclusive environments at all of our services and programs. We will empower our staff and volunteers to have collective leadership on Safeguarding, demonstrating a duty of care, understanding and responsibility towards all of our children and young people.

The Y acknowledges the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and their continuing connection to land, sea and community. We pay our respects to them and their cultures; and to Elders past, present and future.
