Starting her professional life as a teacher many years ago, Donna embraced a wide range of roles throughout her career. Working as a Literacy and Numeracy consultant was a highlight, as it enabled her to work closely with teachers. She also embraced the opportunity to work in the Early Childhood sector as a Performance and Planning Adviser. Whether it’s camping in the bush or relaxing in a resort, Donna loves to travel. She loves spending time with her family and grandchildren and in her retirement has embraced her passion for the arts, spending time drawing, painting and writing and posting a photo every day on Instagram! Donna is passionate about being part of a community that educates the young, cares for the sick and values the elderly. As well as being on the Y board of Directors, Donna is on the Y Safeguarding Committee, advocating at board level for policy implementation that supports safety for all young people.

As the Board of Directors, we acknowledge our responsibility to ensure the governance practices, leadership and values towards Safeguarding are delivered and on display at all times. We are fully committed to the Safeguarding of Children and Young People, with our focus being on providing safe, enjoyable and inclusive environments at all of our services and programs. We will empower our staff and volunteers to have collective leadership on Safeguarding, demonstrating a duty of care, understanding and responsibility towards all of our children and young people.
