Y Ballarat is pleased to announce the appointment of Barbara Elvin as Acting Chief Executive Officer through to December 2026.
This appointment follows the recent announcement that CEO Craig Mathieson will step down from the role on 26 June 2026. We thank Craig for his leadership and contribution to Y Ballarat during a period of growth and transformation for the organisation.
Since joining Y Ballarat as Chief Operating Officer, Barbara has played a key role in strengthening our operations, supporting growth, and helping us deliver quality outcomes for children, families and communities across Victoria.
As we prepare to launch our new Strategic Plan in July, Barbara’s leadership will provide continuity and stability while the Board undertakes a comprehensive recruitment process for our next permanent CEO.
