YMCA ​Ballarat is proud to manage the Delacombe Community Hub and the Doug Dean Stadium. The stadium is located in the heart of Delacombe and is surrounded by play and recreation spaces, BBQ facilities, upgraded roads, wetlands and ample car parking.

The stadium offers a single multi-sport court, spectator seating, large multi-purpose room, registered kitchen, ​ disability access, male and female toilet, shower and change facilities.
The stadium facilities are available for hire. Please contact us for further information.
There are many activities and events run by YMCA Ballarat happening at Doug Dean Stadium and the Delacombe Community Hub.

In partnership with Ballarat Roller Derby League, we offer fun monthly skating events at Doug Dean Stadium, Delacombe. In addition to Fun Skate, we now have TeenSkate for young people 12-17 years.

Come roller skating at the Doug Dean Stadium in a family friendly environment! 

Suitable for ages 4+ with lessons available from 12.15pm (lessons require booking and incur an extra cost). Skate hire included or bring your own skates or blades.

There’s also a healthy kiosk on site for refreshments. 

Please note that all sessions have been cancelled until further notice. This is part of precautions being undertaken due to Coronavirus.

Roller Skating Parties

We have a great option for your next party –  whether it’s a birthday or a work event! 

Why not get your skates on for some fun on wheels! Our Roller Skating parties are at Doug Dean Stadium, Delacombe and can be booked after school, evenings and weekends. 

Roller Skating parties run for 2 hours inclusive of set up and pack up, and include full venue hire, equipment hire and a skate coach to run games and activities. Music and lights help make a great party atmosphere, and decorations and food can be brought in by the party host.

Drop-in Basketball is a fun and FREE opportunity for young people aged 12-21 to play basketball. Drop in, get some court time, improve your play via skills and drills, meet new people and get active! All skill levels welcome. No need to have played basketball before!

Drop in Basketball is based at Doug Dean Reserve, 16 Nandiriog Drive, Delacombe and runs Monday afternoons weekly [except public holidays] from 4-5pm.

We can come to you with a range of activities to get you fitter, stronger and healthier. We have many activities to choose from or we can tailor a program for your function or group. Community programs are run by experienced and professional instructors. These qualified instructors are dedicated to extracting the maximum fun and fitness out of every program.​​

Silver Sneakers Fitness Classes

Silver Sneakers, fitness classes for older adults are back! If you’re looking to be more active, build strength or help prevent falls, this class is for you!

Where: North Ballarat Sports Club (NBSC), 725 Creswick Road, Ballarat 3350

When: Classes will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10:30am-11:15am. Morning tea and a social meet up after each class*

Cost: Classes are $6 each*

*All attendees must have an NBSC membership. Memberships are $10 and include the first class free. Morning tea available at an additional cost. Please consult with your doctor before undertaking any new fitness activity

Delacombe Walking Group

Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from Doug Dean Reser​ve at 9.30am. All levels of fitness welcome.

The Y can facilitate the following programs for your group upon request:

General fitness circuit aimed at improving co-ordination, cardio-vascular fitness, strength and endurance. Circuit programs can be adjusted to different groups accordingly.

Older Adults Fitness
We can tailor a program specifically designed for older adults to assist in physical fitness, fall prevention and general health and well being. 

Walking Groups
A great way to get fitter, stronger and healthier, but even more fun in a group! Fitness instructors take your group for a fun and enjoyable walking session, using different techniques to improve your health and well-being.​
